As an extension of Nike’s Land of New Football, this campaign was a Football News Show on Nike Instagram made for young football fans during the Football World Cup 2021.

New Football News was a news show that presented football culture every week during the football World Cup in 2020. The show reacted to the best football content inside and outside of the tournament throughout the campaign.

Presented by the greatest of all time himself — G.O.A.T.

Made for the young people that follow Nike on their Instagram account we did not have big budgets or lots of time. We launched a trailer + 4 weekly episodes during the world cup. So the turn around had to be super quick.

For each episode we were looking for talents around the globe to give them the chance to show their skills, to react to a very recent happening in the world cup, to vote for their weekly favourite stunt or just simply explain what they do with football. Even Ronaldinho had a cameo role.

In the end we featured a blind football coach, a female football acrobat in a wheelchair, a team of footballer grandmas in Nigeria, a Japanese footballer doing stunts, … and many more.

Little idents created a break between the chapters or announced the next theme. For each ident we worked together with a different designer.

Most of these idents were finally made accessable as stickers on Instagram stories. Search for NFN.
